Who We Are
Cosa Cura (formerly Rescue Collective) was founded in 2006 by owner and local artist Angela Dietrich with a simple but powerful vision: to create a space where creativity, community, and sustainability could thrive together.
What began as a small shop featuring just five friends and a handful of local artists has grown into a vibrant hub representing over 80 independent designers and thousands of local consignors. At its core, Cosa Cura has always been about making space—for artists who don’t fit traditional wholesale models, for individuals looking to give their clothing a second life, and for a community that values thoughtful, sustainable style.
Angela’s lifelong passion for reuse, local artistry, and conscious consumption is woven into every part of the shop. Cosa Cura is built on the belief that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible—and that supporting local makers and extending the life of clothing is a meaningful way to care for both people and planet.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. Through our in-store Charity Fund and ongoing partnerships, we give back year-round to local organizations. We also donate thousands of items annually to shelters and nonprofits, helping ensure clothing continues to serve those who need it most.
Over the years, Cosa Cura has continued to evolve alongside the Bend community. In 2016, we expanded, remodeled, and reintroduced ourselves under the name Cosa Cura—Italian for “things curated” or “carefully chosen”—a reflection of our thoughtful approach to both fashion and retail. We later joined the Northwest Crossing neighborhood, and in early 2024, we proudly opened our second location in Brookswood Plaza, expanding our offerings to include men’s and juniors’ styles, along with locally made beauty, home goods, and more.
Today, Cosa Cura remains rooted in its original mission: to celebrate creativity, support local, and make sustainable style accessible, personal, and inspiring. We’re so grateful to be part of this community and excited for what’s ahead.
